Stafford AppleFest
Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Stafford AppleFest returns on Saturday, September 27, from 11am to 4pm, celebrating autumn’s iconic fruit and the vibrant arts of our community. This lively event will feature homemade seasonal baked goods, family-friendly activities, artisan vendors, handcrafted works, civic group displays, fall-inspired food and beverages, apple pressing demonstrations, live music, and more. This event will be held in Haymarket Common, Hyde Park, and Main Street a beautiful location that provides the perfect setting for a day of apple-filled fun. The festival will showcase various vendors and activities, ensuring a delightful experience for visitors of all ages.

 

Highlights of the event include Grace Episcopal Church’s delicious selection of freshly baked apple pies and apple crumb, along with a variety of soups, warm lunch options, and beverages.

 

Whether you're a fan of apples or simply looking for a memorable community event, Applefest promises to be a delightful experience for all.

AppleFest Attractions & Activities

Cider Pressing Demonstrations

Learn how people have historically used the harvests from their orchards. Historical Society volunteers will demonstrate making cider with an apple press between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Don’t forget to stop in the Museum Open House!

Cider & Beer Sampling in Haymarket Common

Sample what’s on tap with the Stafford Cidery & Off the Rails Brewing: 11:00am - 3:00pm. Positive ID required.

Explore a bustling marketplace featuring a diverse range of vendors, offering unique goods and products

Applefest will be hosting free family fun contests through out the day to and the winners get prizes. Sign up at the information booth located in Haymarket Commons.

Explore one-of-a-kind shops and experiences that make downtown special! AppleFest activities: 

  • Artisans at Middle River - 60 Main Street - students are invited to gather in the studio to create a handwoven basket suitable for apple picking, household storage or gifting. For information and registration, click here

  • Let's Get Wired - 64 Main Street - Enjoy watching our Fall/Halloween window mural painting come to life with Artist, Lights & Darks, at 64 Main St, & take a sneak peek of Let's Get Wired LLC's new storefront!

  • Local Vibe - 72 Main Street - Red Apple Sale!  Any item that is red, has red in it, or has red in the tag qualifies for a 10% discount! Sat 9/28 ONLY!

  • Little Lost Records - 83 Main Street -  Live music by Clover (from the band Cheap City), Yambi Sings, and Trevor Robinson. Music starts at 1pm and is scheduled to end by 4pm.

  • Ice Cream Depot - 8 Main Street - Fall flavored Ice Cream offered throughout AppleFest.

Calling all community members and apple enthusiasts! We are excited to announce that Applefest is just around the corner, and we are in need of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help us make this event a smashing success. Join us in celebrating the vibrant flavors of apples and fostering a sense of togetherness in our wonderful town of Stafford, CT.

Parking:

When visiting Stafford Springs, CT, you'll find several parking options along Main Street for your convenience. Here are some suggested parking areas:

  • Woodlawn Trail Head (21 Hyde Park Road)

  • Commuter Lot (16 River Road/Route 32)

  • Hobbs Medical (8 Spring Street)

  • Public Municipal Lot (2 Spring Street)

  • Town Hall (1 Main Street)

  • American Woolen (18 & 21 Furnace Avenue)

  • On side streets, unless otherwise marked.

 

For safety, follow direction of Stafford PD & C.E.R.T.
