A renewed sense of freedom will return to Stafford on July 5,
with SummerFest & Fireworks set to celebrate Independence Day
with food trucks, live music, and dazzling pyrotechnics.
A cornerstone Town event and summer kick-off tradition, the fireworks display is made possible by sponsor Stafford Savings Bank, a longtime supporter who ensures the grand community tradition continues each year.
True to form, the event kicks off with sought-after food trucks pulling in from around the state, featuring an assortment of menus to please all palates. Previously, the event has ordinarily featured inflatable obstacle courses and bounce houses, but this year these high-touch attractions will be replaced with live music.
Loveland Hill Band performs LIVE at 6:00 p.m.
Loveland Hill Band takes the stage at 6:00 p.m., playing a diverse repertoire of rock, pop, and dance tributes until the fireworks take flight at 9:30 p.m. While Loveland Hill Band entertains audiences across southern New England, the ensemble’s guitarist, Earl Middleton, has special ties to Stafford as the School Resource Officer. Officer Middleton, who was sworn into the Stafford Police Department in November, plays an important role in maintaining a safe school environment while fostering positive relationships between students and officers. An extension of community-oriented spirit, Loveland Hill Band also promises a fun evening of much-missed live music.
Admission and parking are free, all activities will take place at the Stafford High School, located at 145 Orcuttville Road in Stafford, Connecticut. The rural venue provides sprawling fields lush with grass and unobstructed views that are virtually void of ambient light – it’s a choice spot to spread out a blanket and enjoy this year’s fireworks. Parking and viewing areas will be designated throughout the complex. Summer Fest & Fireworks will adhere to all state and local COVID-19 safety guidelines. If the weather forces the cancellation of the show, it will be held on Monday, July 5.
