DECEMBER 19, 2020
4pm - 6pm at the Stafford School Complex
WinterFest REVERSE Parade of Lights
For 2020, the traditional WinterFest Parade of Lights has been reimagined to safely ensure one of our favorite community traditions continues to shine. Taking place on Saturday, December 19 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., the “Reverse” Parade of Lights will be a drive-thru experience where lighted parade vehicles and displays will remain stationary along sections of the Stafford School Complex, largely in the vicinity of the High School. Instead of floats driving by spectators, spectators will remain in their vehicles and drive by the lighted vehicles/floats for viewing.
Spectators will enter Levinthal Run via Orcuttville Road and exit by taking a left on County Road. A map detailing entry/exit and the one-way parade route will soon be published on this page and on the Town’s Facebook page at fb.com/StaffordConnecticut. While the WinterFest “parade” looks a little different this year, true to form, the community tradition will feature lighted entries from the Town of Stafford, First Responders, civic organizations, businesses, residents, and as always, Santa Claus!
Would you like to help spread holiday cheer?!
Organizations, businesses, or individuals who would like to participate as a decorated/lighted display vehicle or float, please email to RSVP and receive arrival/setup details.
Admission is always free and the modified “Reverse” Light Parade aims to extend holiday cheer that is safe and enjoyable for both participants and spectators. The socially distant event will adhere to all COVID-19 safe practices and state guidelines. Please check back for updates and additional event details!
